Tripoli: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, has emphasized the necessity of maintaining the neutrality of sovereign security agencies amidst ongoing political disputes. Saleh highlighted that these agencies must remain impartial and professional to preserve the country's stability and bolster its national role.

According to Libyan News Agency, this statement was released by Saleh's media office on its Facebook page in response to recent discussions about replacing the heads of sovereign security agencies. Saleh criticized the associated interpretations and political maneuvering, stating that they only serve to confuse the public and create further crises, exacerbating existing divisions.

The statement also cautioned against raising this issue at a critical time, as it could impede political efforts aimed at stabilizing the country, unifying state institutions, and setting the stage for elections.

Saleh further urged all parties to exhibit national responsibility, prioritize the country's interests, and avoid actions that could compromise the integrity of sovereign security agencies. This approach, he argued, is essential to maintaining stability and facilitating a transition to free and fair elections.
