A major fire broke out in a factory for producing and manufacturing plastic pipes in the industrial city in the holy Karbala governorate. A source in the Civil Defense stated: 'Firefighters rushed to the scene of the accident and were able to control and extinguish the fire without recording any casualties,' indicating: 'The cause of the fire was failure to comply with Civil Defense instructions.'
