8 wanted by the judiciary on drug charges arrested in Diyala Governorate

The Ministry of Interior announced, today, Thursday, the arrest of 8 people wanted by the judiciary on charges of drug trafficking in Diyala Governorate. The Ministry said in a statement: 'The units of the Fifth Brigade of the Rapid Response Division in the Ministry of Interior arrested 8 people wanted by the Iraqi judiciary, against whom arrest warrants were issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 32 of drugs and seized in their possession light weapons and unlicensed equipment, in the city of Baquba, the center of Diyala Governorate.' It added: 'The arrest operation was carried out in cooperation with the Directorate of Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in the governorate, in cooperation with the Rapid Response Intelligence Department, where the wanted persons and the seized items were duly handed over to the requested party.'
