The Diyala Elections Commission distributed 915,000 biometric voter cards entitled to participate in the election of the Provincial Council out of 1,180,000 voters.
A source in the Diyala Commission told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that 16 electoral lists in Diyala from alliances and political parties will participate in the provincial council election competitions scheduled to be held next December.
He added that 329 candidates will compete for 16 electoral seats allocated to Diyala Governorate.
