Ways to strengthen Bahrain-EU relations, cooperation discussed

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, today held a meeting with the ambassadors of France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Spain, Estonia, Sweden, Slovenia, Poland and the European Union (EU).

The Political Affairs Undersecretary congratulated the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions on Europe Day.

He discussed with them the existing strong relations between Bahrain and EU countries, praising their steady growth at all levels.

He also discussed with them ways to bolster Bahrain’s cooperation with their countries to serve common interests.

The undersecretary and the envoys underlined importance of developing and strengthening these relations in various fields, especially in the economic, investment, security, parliamentary and climate change ones.

They also emphasised the need to increase joint coordination between Bahrain and EU countries, which would contribute to raising the level of bilateral cooperation between them.

The latest regional and global development, as well as topics of mutual interest were also discussed.
