Tunis: The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has officially denied any involvement in organizing or hosting a dialogue between Libyan parties in Tunisia on May 28 and 29. This clarification comes amid circulating media reports suggesting UNSMIL’s participation in such events.
According to Libyan News Agency, the mission addressed these reports on its official Facebook page, stating unequivocally, “Contrary to some recent media reports, UNSMIL is neither organizing nor hosting any dialogue between the Libyan parties in Tunisia on May 28 and 29.” The announcement aims to dispel any misunderstandings regarding UNSMIL’s role in the ongoing Libyan dialogue process.
