Benghazi: The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has unveiled plans for an online discussion session aimed at engaging youth from the eastern region on the recommendations of the Advisory Committee. Scheduled for 3:00 PM next Sunday, this initiative is part of UNSMIL’s “Youth Participates” program.
According to Libyan News Agency, the session will concentrate on evaluating the options and recommendations put forth by the Advisory Committee, while also providing a platform for young participants to express their concerns and insights. The interactive session is set to last for an hour and a half and targets individuals aged 18 to 35 residing in the eastern cities and municipalities.
UNSMIL has opened registration for the event through an electronic form, which will remain available until noon on Saturday. Interested participants can register via the following link: https://forms.office.com/e/YxtsCjDFDv. However, the mission clarified that registration does not automatically ensure participation, as attendees will be selected based on specific criteria.
The mission further stated its intention to conduct more consultative sessions, both in person and virtually, in the upcoming days. This effort is part of a broader initiative to enhance youth involvement in the political process and decision-making across the region.
