UN Mission Announces Resumption of Governance and Security Meetings in Tripoli

Tripoli: The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) announced the resumption of the Governance and Security Track meetings of the Structured Dialogue in Tripoli on Sunday.

According to Libyan News Agency, over four days, participants will focus on a range of issues related to governance, conflict prevention, and stability, with the aim of developing practical and actionable recommendations to create the necessary conditions.

The mission stated that the work of the Structured Dialogue is consistent with its mandate to use its good offices to facilitate an inclusive, Libyan-led and Libyan-owned political process. This process aims to foster consensus on creating an environment conducive to holding national elections, unifying and strengthening state institutions, and achieving long-term stability in Libya.
