Tripoli: The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Libya has expressed its deepest condolences following the tragic death of Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, and his companions. The group perished when their plane crashed Tuesday evening while returning from an official mission to Turkey.
According to Libyan News Agency, the British Embassy shared its condolences with the Libyan people through a post on its official Facebook page. The statement expressed sorrow over the loss of the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, and four of his colleagues, including Lieutenant General Al-Fitouri Ghraibil, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Qatawi, Advisor to the Chief of the General Staff Mohammed Al-Asawi Diab, and photographer Mohammed Mahjoub. The embassy also recognized the loss of the three crew members who died in the crash.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad was recognized for his service to Libya with dedication and sound judgment. The United Kingdom extended its sincere condolences to the Libyan people during this period of national mourning.
