Benghazi: The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met today, Wednesday, with Khalifa Haftar, commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) in eastern Libya, in the city of Benghazi.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting took place as part of Fidan's visit to Libya, which began on Tuesday. The agency noted that Saddam Haftar, deputy commander of the LNA, received Minister Fidan at Benghazi Airport.
On Tuesday, Fidan held talks with Presidential Council Chairman Mohammed al-Manfi, Council member Abdullah al-Lafi, High Council of State Chairman Mohammed Takala, and Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, as part of his two-day visit to Libya, which includes Tripoli and Benghazi.
