Tunisia is “deeply concerned” about repeated operations targeting its nationals in Tunisia.
It deplores the mistreatment and trouble suffered by Tunisians in Libya, up to abduction and sequestration, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released Tuesday.
The Foreign Ministry highlights the age-long relations of brotherhood between the two countries and the two peoples.
Tunisia has neither closed its borders with Libya, nor imposed a visa entry on the Libyan people despite a delicate political, security and economic context, said the same source.
Tunisia continues to welcome Libyans and provide them best stay conditions, it added.
The Foreign Ministry also said that Tunisia is at equal distance from all Libyan parties and has not stopped urging dialogue and consensus to overcome the political crisis in the country.
