Tripoli: Meetings of the Libyan-Algerian Expert Committee were held in Tripoli on January 28 and 29 to prepare for the 15th session of the Joint High Executive Committee, scheduled to be held in Algeria in the near future.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Libyan delegation was led by Ashraf Mohamed Al-Taeb, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Meanwhile, the Algerian delegation was headed by Noureddine Khandoudi, Director General for Arab Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.
The meetings focused on reviewing and evaluating the existing cooperation between Libya and Algeria across various sectors. Discussions aimed at identifying strategies to enhance and develop bilateral relations to better serve the interests of both nations and their citizens. The goal is to elevate the relationship between these neighboring countries to new levels.
The meetings concluded with both sides signing the minutes of their meeting. The agreement covered numerous sectors, including economy, trade, investment, industry, scientific cooperation, energy, mining, agriculture, transportation, education, technical cooperation, security, consular affairs, customs, and tourism.
