Cairo: Preparations for the upcoming tripartite presidential summit, set to take place in Tripoli next April, were the focus of a meeting held on the sidelines of the emergency Arab summit in Cairo. The meeting included Taher Al-Baour, who is in charge of running the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad in Algeria, Mohamed Ali Al-Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad in Tunisia, and Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in Mauritania.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting emphasized the necessity of following up on the work of the technical committees responsible for preparing for the summit. The attendees highlighted the importance of political coordination to review and discuss the proposals of these committees to ensure the achievement of the summit’s objectives and to enhance joint cooperation between the three countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation noted that this meeting is part of efforts to strengthen cooperation among Maghreb countries and to reaffirm their joint commitment to addressing regional challenges while promoting economic and political integration.
