The Turkish President confirms that the decision of ECOWAS to intervene militarily in Niger is incorrect

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed that his country does not see the decision of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to intervene militarily in Niger as right.

Erdogan said in a press statement published here today: “We are studying how to play our pivotal role in Niger, and I do not see the ECOWAS decision to intervene militarily as right.”

Regarding Sweden’s membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Erdogan indicated that if the attacks on Turkish sanctities in Sweden continue and the streets of Stockholm are not protected, Sweden will have to bear responsibility for its decisions.

Erdogan announced that he will accompany the Turkish Foreign Minister on a visit to Russia soon, where he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss issues of common concern, stressing the importance of this direct face-to-face dialogue.

Erdogan renewed his interest in the issue of retirees and that he hopes to take steps that satisfy the retirees and not to feel anxious, noting that his economic team is efficient and that citizens must trust that the Justice and Development Party can reduce the inflation rate to one digit.

The Turkish President concluded his statement regarding opposition leader Kilicdaroglu, stressing that he competed with him in the elections 13 times and won all of them, and expressed his desire for Kilicdaroglu to be removed from his position and leave, and that the best option available to him is his withdrawal and departure from the political scene / according to him / .
