The Turkish Defense Ministry announced the killing of one of its officers in an attack by militants from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party in northern Iraq.

The Turkish Defense Ministry stated in a statement today, Friday, that a group of militants from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party opened fire on one of the Turkish army units tasked with the / Claw Lock / operations in northern Iraq, so that unit confronted them, and after an armed clash that resulted in the killing of the officer / Muhammad Ali Horzo / and the killing of three militants from the Kurdish organization.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish Defense Ministry had previously announced the killing of nine officers and 62 soldiers in its operations against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party militants in northern Iraq, thus raising what the Turkish Defense Ministry officially announced of the Turkish army’s losses in the operations it called ” the Claw Lock ” to the killing of ten officers and 63 soldiers and the wounding of 88 others since it began its operatio
ns on the eighteenth of April 2021.
