It is noteworthy that this is the third time that Moscow has hosted a meeting on Syria during the past two months. The first meeting was held at the level of deputy Foreign Ministers and special representatives of the four countries on April 3 and 4, and on April 4 the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov attended the meeting, and it was decided that the Foreign Ministers would also meet in Moscow.

On April 25, Defense Ministers and senior security officials from the four countries held talks in Moscow.
