The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government holds a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation.

Tripoli: Today, Tuesday, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat Ben Qaddara, and the Ministers of Transport and State for the Affairs of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers. The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated that “Dabaiba” stressed during the meeting the necessity of investing in the field of oil and gas with the aim of raising productivity, benefiting from the reserve through exploration and development, and continuing to evaluate priority and economic feasibility while increasing disclosure and transparency in all oil projects.Al-Dabaiba stressed the need to adhere to all observations received from regulatory authorities regarding strategic projects, continue implementing investment projects, benefit from all global experiences, and create partnerships with local national companies to raise their efficiency.During the meeting, the Prime Minister of the Nati
onal Unity Government stressed the necessity of continuing the procedures for developing the Hamada field after addressing any technical or legal observations in accordance with what was agreed upon at the tenth meeting of the Supreme Council for Energy Affairs, and ensuring the transparency and safety of the procedures. For his part, Ben Qaddara confirmed during the meeting that the National Oil Corporation has been working to activate development and exploration projects that have been stalled for years without justification, and to create global partnerships with the aim of increasing oil and gas production.He explained that the sector’s projects require large financial flows and need foreign investors to ensure their implementation according to the approved timetables.
