The Presidents of the Republic and the Kurdistan Region consider the attack on Sulaymaniyah Airport a violation of national sovereignty

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, considered the attack on Sulaymaniyah Airport a violation of national sovereignty.

A presidential statement stated: In the meeting, the political, security and service situation were discussed, in addition to the most important files that have priority within the framework of work between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.

It was emphasized, according to the statement, the need to make more efforts to consolidate and enhance security stability in the country and to protect the gains achieved in this regard.

The attack on Sulaymaniyah Civil Airport was also discussed yesterday, as it is considered a violation of national sovereignty, which confirms Iraq’s right to take legitimate means to prevent violations.

The meeting discussed the agreement to resume the export of oil in the Kurdistan region, and the importance of speeding up the approval of the general budget and laws that affect the work and livelihood of citizens, and supporting the government in proceeding with the implementation of its program in a way that meets the aspirations of the people with their various components and affiliations.
