Rome: Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Hanna Tetteh, concluded a two-day trip to Rome in which she consulted senior officials in the Foreign Ministry and the Office of the Prime Minister on the situation in Libya.
According to Libyan News Agency, Tetteh shared her assessment with the Italian officials and solicited their feedback on the political, economic, and security dynamics in the country. She stressed the importance of continued partnership between the UN and Italy in supporting stability efforts in Libya.
Tetteh also expressed her appreciation for the sustained support of Italy to UNSMIL and the UN in Libya, and looked forward to continuing to work with Italy. She emphasized the commitment of UNSMIL to continue to be inclusive and pragmatic in the development and implementation of the roadmap.
