Tripoli: The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met today with the newly appointed head of the Libyan Intelligence Service, Abdul Majid Meliqta, at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli to discuss the latest political and security developments in the country.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was also attended by the head of the Council's National Security Committee, Abdul Fattah Hablous, and Council members Zainab Toushi and Jamila Al-Zawi. The discussions addressed several issues related to national security, including the importance of strengthening coordination among state institutions to support stability, maintain the country's security, and confront challenges that threaten the national interest.
The meeting emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability. It also focused on creating the appropriate conditions to advance the political process and achieve the supreme national interest.
