Tripoli: President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, accompanied by the Chairman of the Council's Political Committee, Mohamed Moazeb, met today, Sunday, with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, at the Council's headquarters in the capital.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting addressed the latest developments related to Libya's political process and ways to advance national and international efforts to resolve the political deadlock on legal and constitutional grounds. The two sides also discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and developing cooperation in various fields.
During the meeting, Takala stressed the importance of achieving consensus among Libya's political parties and unifying their visions in order to reach comprehensive elections that meet the aspirations of the Libyan people. He also praised Italy.
