Tripoli: The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, engaged in discussions today with the US Embassy’s Charg© d’Affaires in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, and Economic Affairs Officer, James Frumson. The meeting focused on the political situation in Libya, the UN roadmap for a solution, and its implementation mechanisms.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting addressed key issues such as the political situation in the country and the proposed UN roadmap for a political solution, including its practical implementation mechanisms. The activation of the Constitutional Court and its implications for the unity of the Libyan judiciary were also discussed.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation between Libyan institutions and the international community to support the path to stability. They agreed on the necessity of holding elections as soon as possible to ensure progress in the political landscape of Libya.
