Tripoli: The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, to discuss the latest political developments in the country.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions focused on advancing the political process towards elections and achieving lasting stability in Libya. The meeting addressed the UN roadmap for a political solution and its implementation mechanisms to ensure a democratic path that aligns with the aspirations of the Libyan populace.
Furthermore, Takala and Tetteh reviewed the agreements made between the High Council of State’s and the House of Representatives’ committees concerning the selection of candidates for sovereign positions.
