Tripoli: The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Navy, Major General Noureddine Al-Bouni, and the Commander of the Libyan Coast Guard, Admiral Reda Issa, received the Commander of the EU's Operation Irini, Admiral Casapieri, in Tripoli.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, which was also attended by the EU Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orndolaou, affirmed Operation Irini's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Libyan Navy throughout the country, with the aim of achieving tangible and mutually beneficial results.
This cooperation includes providing increased support through training and capacity building, as well as implementing specific projects aimed at enhancing Libyan naval capabilities within the framework of the EU-Libya partnership.
