Abuja: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, engaged in discussions with representatives of the Fezzan National Forum to address the latest political and economic developments and to consider their perspectives and proposals concerning the current phase in Libya.
According to Libyan News Agency, Aguila Saleh paid close attention to the insights and observations of the forum's representatives, which include academics, activists, and opinion leaders. These discussions focused on the situation in the Fezzan region and Libya as a whole, presenting proposals aimed at resolving the Libyan crisis and achieving a comprehensive political settlement. The organization of parliamentary and presidential elections at the earliest possible date was a key topic.
During the meeting, Saleh highlighted the national and historical significance of the Fezzan region in the construction of modern Libya. He commended the efforts of academics, intellectuals, tribal elders, and members of the Fezzan National Forum for their support in the dialogue process and their contributions to political decision-making, underscoring their dedication to advancing the national interest.
