Sources Confirm Quorum for Supreme Council Leadership Election

Tripoli: Sources told the Libyan News Agency (LANA) that the required quorum has been reached for Wednesday's session, during which the President and Bureau of the Supreme Council are scheduled to be elected.

According to Libyan News Agency, the session is expected to begin shortly after 125 members, out of a total of 139 registered members, confirmed their attendance.

The sources added that five members are competing for the position of President of the Council. They include the current President, Mohamed Takala, former President Abdulrahman Al-Swehli, Belqasem Qzeit, Mustafa Al-Treiki, and Saleh Meitou.
