Social Development Minister Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor headed the Elderly National Committee meeting.
The meeting discussed ways to improve cooperation between the relevant sectors and achieve the committee’s goals to serve the elderly, in a manner that fits them.
The minister stressed the importance of supporting projects to improve the quality of life of the elderly, based on the Kingdom’s approach, which supports human rights of the whole society, including the elderly.
The meeting reviewed projects and programs that serve the elderly and followed up their implementation with relevant authorities.
It also discussed legislation and laws for the elderly, which guarantee them a decent life in a way that grants them psychological and social security, by strengthening ways of cooperation with the authorities to care for them.
