Scientific Research Authority and Atomic Energy Corporation Forge Partnership for Joint Research Programs

Tripoli: The Scientific Research Authority and the Atomic Energy Corporation have entered into a significant collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing scientific and technological research in Libya. The agreement, signed by Faisal Al-Abdali, Director General of the Libyan Scientific Research Authority, and Al-Hashemi Mohammed Al-Abyad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Atomic Energy Corporation, focuses on peaceful applications of atomic energy.

According to Libyan News Agency, the MoU seeks to boost scientific cooperation, develop research capabilities, and nurture national expertise through joint research programs. The agreement outlines plans for the exchange of experiences and knowledge, utilization of specialized laboratories and facilities, and organizing seminars, conferences, and workshops. It also includes provisions for exchanging scientific information and conducting specialized training programs for researchers and technicians.

Both organizations have expressed that this partnership aligns with Libya's broader strategy to foster scientific research, encourage innovation, and enhance human capacity. The collaboration is expected to contribute to sustainable development in the country and address priority national issues.

Moreover, the parties highlighted the necessity of adhering to the MoU's provisions to maximize mutual benefits and strengthen institutional partnerships based on best practices and scientific standards.
