Tripoli: A delegation from Saudi Arabia's Ajial Petroleum Company engaged in talks with Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba of the Government of National Unity, discussing cooperation and potential investments in the energy sector. The meeting took place during the fourth Libya Energy and Economy Summit, with Musleh Al-Dossari, Chairman of the Board of Ajial Petroleum, leading the delegation.
According to Libyan News Agency, Ajial Petroleum expressed its intent to venture into the Libyan market, focusing on investments within the energy sector. The company elaborated on its operational domains, including exploration and production, oilfield services, and the development of energy projects. Ajial Petroleum aims to offer technical and technological solutions to bolster the sector's advancement.
Prime Minister Dabaiba reiterated that Libya is welcoming to all investors and major international companies, under an economic policy geared towards openness and strategic partnerships. He highlighted the Government of National Unity's dedication to fostering an inviting investment atmosphere, anchored in transparency and equal opportunities. This approach seeks to facilitate the exchange of expertise and modern technologies, contributing to the enhancement of Libya's oil and energy sector.
The meeting is a follow-up to a recent visit by an official Libyan government delegation to Saudi Arabia, where they met with the Saudi Minister of Energy. During the visit, discussions were held with prominent Saudi companies, including Aramco, to explore avenues for cooperation and joint investments in the energy field.
