Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam arrived Saturday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, accompanied by Economy and Trade Minister Amer Al-Bassat and Ambassador Claude Al-Hajjal. They were received at Cairo International Airport by Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly.
According to National news agency – Lebanon, Prime Minister Salam is scheduled to participate in the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo this evening. In addition to the ceremony, he will lead the Lebanese delegation at the meetings of the tenth session of the Lebanese-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee, which is set to take place on Sunday.
During the session, it is anticipated that more than fifteen agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed. These agreements are expected to enhance the mutual interests of both Lebanon and Egypt, building on the collaborative efforts fostered by the committee’s work.
