The River Police recovered the body of a young man who drowned in the Rose River, northeast of Baqubah, the center of Diyala Governorate.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that a detachment of the river police was able to recover the body of a young man who drowned while swimming in the Rose River in Al-Aqoud area on the outskirts of Muqdadiyah, northeast of Baqubah.
He added that the body was transferred to the forensic medicine department to take the necessary legal measures.
The irrigation rivers in Diyala witnessed the recording of more than / 5 / cases of drowning during the past days.
