Doha:Abdullah Qaderbouh, Head of the Administrative Control Authority, met with M'hamed Djelloui, Acting Head of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and Combating Corruption in Algeria. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in oversight, transparency, integrity, and anti-corruption efforts.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions included mechanisms to improve transparency in public affairs management, and strategies for preventing and detecting corruption. They also addressed data collection and processing related to corruption risks, as well as monitoring compliance with transparency rules and asset declarations.
The talks further explored cooperation in capacity building, training, and the exchange of experiences in formulating and implementing national transparency and anti-corruption strategies. Both parties emphasized promoting a culture of integrity and developing institutional tools and methods for effective governance.
M'hamed Djelloui expressed the High Authority's willingness to enhance cooperation with the Administrative Control Authority, focusing on administrative investigations, evidence gathering, and enforcement. Abdullah Qaderbouh is leading an official delegation at the sixth session of the Conference of States Parties to the Arab Convention against Combating Corruption in Doha, Qatar.
