Tripoli: Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, on Wednesday reviewed the General Electricity Company’s plan and preparations for the summer of 2025, focusing on ensuring the stability of the electricity grid.
According to Libyan News Agency, this review took place during a meeting that Dabaiba held with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company. The meeting was also attended by the Director General of Production and the Director of the Strategic Planning Department. Discussions centered on the periodic maintenance plan and technical overhauls, with an emphasis on implementing these tasks within the specified schedules.
The meeting also monitored the progress of new stations and their timely entry into service, which is aimed at enhancing production capacity and improving the efficiency of the grid. The presence of the Minister of Transportation, attending as the Prime Minister’s financial advisor, underscored the meeting’s emphasis on maintaining the grid’s stability without interruption for the third consecutive year, to adequately meet citizens’ needs during peak months.
