President of Libya’s Presidential Council Meets Turkish Ambassador to Discuss Political Developments

Tripoli: The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, met with Gven Begi§, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Libya, in the capital city of Tripoli. The meeting centered on key political issues and the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two nations.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Turkish Ambassador extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Menfi on his return to Libya after undergoing medical tests abroad. He conveyed well wishes from the Turkish leadership, highlighting the robust historical ties between the Libyan and Turkish people.

During the discussion, President Menfi outlined the Presidential Council’s ongoing efforts to advance the political process in Libya. He emphasized the importance of overcoming obstacles to achieve national consensus, aiming for a significant breakthrough in the current political landscape.

The Turkish Ambassador reaffirmed Turkey’s unwavering support for the initiatives led by President Menfi. He emphasized Ankara’s commitment to continuing bilateral coordination and cooperation, which is expected to enhance Libya’s security, stability, and sovereignty.
