Tripoli: President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, received a written message on Wednesday from Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar. The message was delivered by Qatar’s Ambassador to Libya, Khaled Al-Dosari.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ambassador conveyed the congratulations of the Qatari leadership to the President of the Presidential Council on his return to the homeland after a medical trip abroad that lasted several days, wishing him continued health and wellness.
The meeting between Al-Menfi and Al-Dosari also focused on the latest political developments in Libya and explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries.
The Ambassador affirmed the State of Qatar’s support for the role played by the Presidential Council in bringing the views of the Libyan parties closer together. He also expressed Qatar’s backing for the Council’s efforts to resolve the current crisis and achieve stability in the country.
