The Popular Mobilization Commission announced the implementation of a three-pronged security operation in the Anbar desert.
The Popular Mobilization Commission said in a statement: ‘The force of the 57th Brigade of the Mobilization Operations Command in Anbar found, during a security operation carried out from three axes in the Anbar desert and lasting for two days with the army, a group of important items.’
It added: “After clashes with ISIS elements in more than one axis, the joint force succeeded in finding a group of warehouses containing fuel, foodstuffs and spare materials, in addition to a large warehouse containing newly manufactured explosive devices intended to be used in their terrorist operations against civilians.”
It continued, “The devices were detonated, while a motorcycle belonging to the terrorists was confiscated during the clashes and pursuit operations.
