Tripoli:The Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) has declared its firm opposition to any disruptions at oil facilities, including the closure of oil and gas pipelines. The PFG stressed that protecting the assets and resources of the Libyan people is of utmost importance and any encroachment will not be tolerated.
According to Libyan News Agency, the PFG issued a statement condemning the recent closure of the Rayayna valve, which is connected to the Tahara field. The closure, described as sabotage, is seen as a direct threat to the state's public interest.
The statement highlighted the economic repercussions of halting oil flow through the valve, emphasizing the negative impact on the national economy. The PFG also asserted that those responsible for the closure would be held legally accountable, as these facilities serve all Libyans.
