Brussels: Head of EU Mission to Libya, Ambassador Nicola Orlando, considered the municipal elections that were conducted yesterday in different Libyan cities as an important station in the democratic track in the country. This came during his meeting with the Head of Libyan Mission to the EU, Jalal Alashi, where he congratulated him on these elections that were conducted in 58 Libyan municipalities.
According to Libyan News Agency, Orlando stressed, in a tweet, the EU’s commitment to deepening coordination and cooperation and affirming that the partnership between the EU and Libya is based on respect for sovereignty, human rights, universal freedoms, and rich Libyan culture and traditions. “Our fruitful discussions covered key topics such as civil aviation, health, higher education, fisheries, educational and cultural youth exchange, renewable energy, migration, and border management,” Orlando said.

inister Abdul Hamid Dabaiba on May 15, discussing the establishment of an organized dialogue on common priorities.
