Orlando: The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met today, Thursday, in Tripoli, with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Libya, Nicola Orlando. Orlando stated in a tweet on his official X account that the meeting addressed the progress achieved, as well as the remaining challenges in implementing the political roadmap facilitated by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).
According to Libyan News Agency, the Head of the EU Delegation explained that the meeting also discussed the importance of the European Union continuing its support for all parties and strengthening dialogue with the House of Representatives. He emphasized the need to adopt an approach based on constructive public participation and good faith, which contributes to advancing the political process.
In his tweet, Orlando stressed the importance of preserving the unity of the Libyan state and its various institutions, and ensuring the continuity of public governance throughout the country, given its fundamental role in protecting the Libyan economy.
