Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the opening of nominations for membership in the Truth, Reconciliation and Recovery Commission in the Republic of South Sudan. This initiative is being undertaken in cooperation with the African Union Commission and the United Nations.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation made the announcement through its African Affairs Department. The Commission will be composed of seven members, with three members nominated by the African Union, including a mandatory position for a woman, and four members appointed by the Government of South Sudan.
The Ministry emphasized that the nomination process for the Commission requires candidates to meet specific criteria, such as possessing experience in human rights, justice, peace, and reconstruction.
