Tripoli: The head of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, has praised the efforts of the employees, which resulted in an average production of 1.375 million barrels of oil per day and 2.5 billion cubic feet of gas per day. Suleiman emphasized the corporation's dedication to neutrality, professionalism, and transparency during the opening of the general assembly meetings for the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, Al-Jawf Oil Company, and the National Construction Company.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meetings, attended by the NOC Board of Directors, management committees, general managers, department heads, and several specialists, focused on the companies' 2026 plans and their achievements in 2025. The Arabian Gulf Oil Company reported an average production of 286,000 barrels per day, with a peak of 305,000 barrels per day, alongside an average gas production of 88 million cubic feet per day. The successful drilling of three wells added 17 million barrels of oil and 24 billion cubic feet of gas. The Sarir-Tobruk pipeline project surpassed 90% completion, while the associated gas utilization project in the Messla and Sarir fields reached 97%. Additionally, the Tobruk refinery processed 622,000 barrels, achieving 130% of its target.
The National Construction Company has begun work on replacing 100 kilometers of the 34-inch diameter Sarir-Tobruk shipping pipeline, with completion expected next June. Meanwhile, Al-Jawf Company successfully met its contractual obligations to its clients in the sector.
