National Oil Corporation and Schlumberger Discuss Development and Training Initiatives

Tripoli: A meeting between the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Schlumberger took place at the Corporation’s headquarters in Tripoli to explore joint cooperation and assess Schlumberger’s performance in Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was led by Eng. Masoud Suleiman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOC. Discussions focused on Schlumberger’s activities within the country, particularly in well services and support services. Eng. Suleiman emphasized the need to enhance the efficiency and quality of these services to support production and maintenance operations.

The dialogue also covered Schlumberger’s potential contributions to sustainable development programs near oil operations and training programs for national personnel to enhance their technical capabilities. Eng. Suleiman highlighted the significance of supporting Libyan academic institutions by providing licenses for Schlumberger software, which would improve education and research in the oil industry.
