Ministry of Interior and MSF Discuss Health Support for Migrants

Tripoli: The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity is in discussions with Doctors Without Borders regarding mechanisms for health support for migrants. The talks aim to enhance healthcare services in migrant shelters.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting took place on Wednesday and was attended by Major General Abdul Wahid Abdul Samad, Director of the Office of the Minister of Interior, and the head of Doctors Without Borders’ office in Libya. The head of the Ministry’s Organizations Department was also present.

The discussions highlighted the importance of working in coordination with the Ministry of Health, focusing on medical and pharmaceutical fields. Both parties stressed the necessity of unifying efforts between national institutions and international organizations to effectively address the humanitarian and health needs of migrants.
