Tripoli: The Ministry of Civil Service has approved a new job structure for the Ministry of Health, marking a significant step towards reorganizing and modernizing the health sector. Abdul-Munim Saleh, Minister of Civil Service in the Government of National Unity, sanctioned the organizational structure under Resolution No. (143) of 2026.
According to Libyan News Agency, the resolution encompasses the Ministry of Health headquarters and regional health service departments, accounting for 190,150 positions. This move is part of a broader plan to enhance the sector's efficiency and responsiveness to current demands. The approval took place at an official meeting at the Ministry of Civil Service headquarters, attended by the Minister of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Ghouj, several undersecretaries, department directors, and a joint technical team from both ministries.
This organizational structure approval is the first since 2007, breaking a period of stagnation. It aligns with a modern vision aimed at boosting performance and improving the quality of health services for citizens. The Ministry of Civil Service reiterated its commitment to approving staffing structures across various ministries and agencies. It also expressed its readiness to offer necessary technical support and consultations to enhance the efficiency of the state's administrative operations.
