Minister of Oil Engages with Total Energies to Enhance Oil and Gas Projects

Tripoli: The Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, Khalifa Rajab Abdul Sadiq, engaged in discussions with officials from Total Energies to explore ways to bolster joint cooperation and advance oil and gas projects. This initiative aims to support efforts to increase production rates and enhance the performance of the energy sector.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting took place at the Ministry headquarters in Tripoli. It was attended by Julien Pouget, the President of Total Energies Exploration and Production for the Middle East and North Africa, Pedro Ribeiro, the company's President in Libya, and Simon Dessendes, the newly appointed President of the company in Libya, alongside several Ministry officials.

The discussion focused on Total Energies' operations in Libya and its future plans for developing oil and gas projects. The dialogue also covered mechanisms for increasing production and expanding cooperation areas, aligning with the state's directives to advance the energy sector and strengthen partnerships with international companies.

Additionally, the meeting served as an introduction for Simon Dessendes as the new President of Total Energies in Libya, signifying an ongoing commitment to cooperation and partnership between the Ministry and the company.
