Cairo: The Minister of Education in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Abdul Salam Al-Qaryu, has approved the results of the first-round examinations for the Basic Education Certificate for the 2025-2026 academic year. The results reveal a pass rate of 75.46%, with 159,533 out of 211,416 students passing the exams, while 51,883 students are set to take the second-round exams.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry detailed the distribution of grades among successful students: 73,123 achieved an excellent grade, 59,579 received a very good grade, 24,302 obtained a good grade, and 2,529 students earned a pass grade. The success rate for Libyan students abroad was notably higher at 89.10%, with 556 of 624 students passing. Out of these, 385 achieved an excellent grade, followed by 140 with a very good grade, 29 with a good grade, and 2 with a pass grade.
Religious education students had a success rate of 47.54% from a total of 284 students. Among these, 135 passed, with 23 achieving an excellent grade, 56 obtaining a very good grade, 44 securing a good grade, and 12 earning a pass grade. Additionally, the success rate for deaf and hard-of-hearing students was an impressive 95.24% out of 63 students, with 60 passing. Within this group, 34 achieved an excellent grade, 22 a very good grade, and 4 a good grade.
Minister Al-Qaryu extended his congratulations to all successful students and their parents, encouraging them to continue their educational pursuits with dedication. He also expressed his appreciation for the examination committees, teachers, and staff members who ensured the exams were conducted smoothly and according to approved procedures. The Minister urged students who will participate in the second-round exams to prepare thoroughly to achieve favorable outcomes.
