Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, expressed her pride in the cooperation between Libya and Italy, to achieve common goals.
Meloni stressed in her speech today, Tuesday, during the opening of the activities of the Libyan-Italian Business Forum in its 30th session, which is being held at the Tripoli International Fair; Italy’s continued commitment to supporting Libya to achieve economic sustainability, which witnessed a doubling of the volume of trade between the two countries during the years 2022-2023.
Meloni said that her fourth visit to Tripoli is of great importance to strengthening relations between the two countries, and reaching the highest levels of successful partnership in all fields.
She stressed that Italy is the first country in Europe to lift restrictions on businessmen in the two countries to support economic cooperation between the two countries; announcing that Italian Airlines will resume its flights to Libya next January.
Meloni said that Libya is an important economic partner for
Italy; and we confirm the Italian government’s commitment to helping Libya in the stages of stability and economic growth.
The 30th edition of the forum will witness wide participation from a number of local and Italian companies, with the aim of enhancing the prospects of trade exchange between the two countries, in addition to holding economic sessions with the participation of Italian and Libyan businessmen in various fields.
