The United Nations Support Mission in Libya organized today, Wednesday, a workshop on the role of civil society in enhancing electoral security. According to the United Nations Mission, the workshop was organized in partnership with the Ministries of Interior and Youth, the High National Elections Commission, and civil society organizations. The active participation in the workshop of civil society organizations from all over Libya, including scouts, women and youth, contributes to emphasizing the need to ensure the integrity of the electoral process, raise voter awareness and educate them, build capacity among key stakeholders, as well as enhance broad participation in a safe environment for transparent and credible elections in Libya, according to the mission.
