Tripoli: Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the United States on Arab and African Affairs, affirmed his country's commitment to continuing to work alongside the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to promote peace, stability, and unity in Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, this came after Boulos met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, in Tripoli, where the two discussed ways to continue cooperation in support of the UN mission's efforts and to advance the political process in the country.

Boulos explained, in a tweet reposted by the US Embassy in Libya on its X platform, that the conclusion of the structured dialogue conducted by UNSMIL last month across the country resulted in comprehensive and wide-ranging Libyan recommendations regarding the next phase of the political process.

He added, according to the tweet, that both sides reaffirmed the importance of continuing efforts to make further progress on the roadmap laid out by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Hanna Tetteh, with the United States continuing to support the UN mission's efforts in this regard.
