Tripoli: Liu Jian, the Charg© d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya, has conveyed China’s readiness to collaborate with Libya in exploring methods to improve global governance and tackle worldwide challenges. This initiative aims to build a community with a shared future for humanity.

According to Libyan News Agency, Liu Jian articulated this vision in an article where he elaborated on the global governance initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping. He clarified that the initiative is not about dismantling the existing international order or creating a new one. Instead, it seeks to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the current international system and mechanisms, allowing them to swiftly and effectively address global challenges and better serve the interests of all nations, particularly developing ones.

The Charg© d’Affaires highlighted that China and Libya maintain strong coordination and cooperation in international forums, particularly the United Nations, and are actively working to steer the international system toward a more equitable and rational direction.

Liu Jian further emphasized that the two nations are committed to safeguarding national independence, unity, and territorial integrity, opposing foreign interference, and staunchly supporting international justice and fairness.

He also reiterated the commitment of both countries to mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit, especially within the framework of their strategic partnership. Liu Jian noted the deep historical ties between China and Libya, which underpin their relationship.

In his article, Liu Jian described the Global Governance Initiative as a significant endeavor following China’s Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative. He stressed that these initiatives, each with distinct priorities, will be implemented concurrently to contribute positively to the world and provide momentum for human development and progress.
